This Original Large Hand Carved Genuine Turquoise Sculpture is an amazing work of art. This carving is impressive, the artist has a true understanding of the human form. This sculpture is just full of incredible hand carved details. It took a lot of skill, imagination, and ingenuity to create this one. This sculpture is over fourteen pounds and started out as a twenty pound nugget of genuine Turquoise. This Turquoise looks to be some old Kingman Turquoise, but we can't be one hundred percent sure about that. This Turquoise Sculpture is a true work of art. It's full of traditional southwestern Native American imagery with artfully hand made depictions of a Native American maiden, bison, a wolf, a chief, and cliff dwellings. This sculpture has a gorgeous carving on both the front and the back. This incredible fourteen pound Turquoise sculpture is 10-1/2" wide and 7" tall.

In Indian folklore it is said that there was once a chief with turquoise colored skin. One day he was running from his enemies in the hot desert. Whenever he stopped to rest, his perspiration ran onto the ground, collected in rocks and became turquoise.
