 Plains Indian LEATHER BOW & ARROWS 2181 This beautiful, dark soft leather BUCKSKIN covered bow measures 45 it is decorated with Feathers, Fur and Braided Buck Skin Leather. The bone tipped arrows measure 26" in length feathers and tips are attached to the shaft with artificial sinew. More than a dozen leather fringes connect large feathers to both ends of the bow. This one comes with a dark soft buckskin leather, medicine man bag. A magnificent show piece for your collectible wall. Bows and arrows displayed are intended for wall decoration. Indian warriors gained status not only from their success in battle, but their skills in crafting hunting tools and weapons. Typically Bow woods used are Ash, Black Locust, Black Cherry, Osage Orange, White Oak and Hickory. Arrows were made mostly from dogwood, yaupon holly, witch hazel and willow because they could be smoothed and straighten easily. Arrow points made of noviculite and obsidian were chipped with a moose and deer antler.
